ThePulseSignal respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly and transparently. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, shared, retained, and protected when you visit or interact with our website.

For visitors in India, our handling of digital personal data is intended to align with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and related rules and notifications as they become effective.

Who We Are

Our website address is https://thepulsesignal.com/.

This policy applies to ThePulseSignal website, newsletter signup, editorial communications, comments where enabled, account functionality where enabled, and related services operated under the ThePulseSignal name.

Information We May Collect

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, website address, message content, account details, newsletter consent, correction requests, editorial feedback, privacy requests, copyright requests, and supporting materials.

We may also collect technical information automatically, including IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, approximate visit time and duration, cookie identifiers, security logs, diagnostic information, and error records.

Please do not submit confidential, privileged, financial, medical, identification, or other highly sensitive information unless specifically requested through an appropriate secure process.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, where commenting is enabled, we collect the data shown in the comments form, together with the visitor’s IP address and browser user-agent string to help with spam detection, abuse prevention, moderation, and website security.

An anonymized string created from your email address, also called a hash, may be provided to the Gravatar service to determine whether you use that service. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of a comment, a Gravatar profile image may be visible publicly alongside that comment.

Comments, display names, profile images, and website links may be visible publicly. Do not include personal information in a comment that you do not want others to see.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data, including EXIF GPS information. Visitors may be able to download publicly available images and extract location or other metadata contained in those files.

We may review, restrict, or remove uploaded material that creates privacy, security, copyright, legal, or abuse concerns.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, where comments are enabled, you may be offered the option to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. These cookies are for convenience so that you do not need to enter the same details again when leaving another comment. These cookies may remain on your device for up to one year.

If you visit our login page, we may set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no directly identifying personal data and is normally discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we may set cookies to save your login information and screen-display choices. Login cookies may last for approximately two days, screen-options cookies for approximately one year, and a “Remember Me” login for approximately two weeks. Logging out normally removes active login cookies.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie may be saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and indicates the post ID of the article you edited. It normally expires after one day.

We may also use essential, preference, analytics, performance, security, or consent-management cookies. Where consent is legally required, non-essential analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies should not be activated until an appropriate affirmative choice has been made. Additional details are available in our Cookie Policy.

Embedded Content From Other Websites

Articles and pages may include embedded content such as videos, images, audio, maps, social-media posts, documents, or external articles. Embedded content from another website behaves in substantially the same way as if you visited that third-party website directly.

Those websites may collect information about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including where you have an account with that service and are logged in.

ThePulseSignal does not control the privacy or security practices of third-party websites. You should review the relevant provider’s privacy policy before interacting with external content.

Contact Forms and Communications

When you contact us, we may collect your name, email address, the subject and content of your message, supporting links or documents, and technical delivery information associated with the communication.

We may use this information to respond to inquiries, evaluate correction or editorial requests, process privacy or copyright concerns, maintain records, detect abuse, protect legal rights, and comply with applicable obligations.

Submitting a message does not guarantee a response or any requested editorial, privacy, legal, or administrative action.

Google Search Console and Search Learning

ThePulseSignal operates an internal Search Learning system that may connect to Google Search Console through Google OAuth using read-only permission. The connection is used only to understand how ThePulseSignal’s own published pages appear and perform in Google Search and to improve future editorial and search decisions.

When this connection is enabled, ThePulseSignal may access Search Console performance information for properties that the authorized Google account has permission to view. This may include search queries, impressions, clicks, click-through rate, average search position, page URLs, dates, countries, devices, and search appearance information made available by the Search Console API.

ThePulseSignal uses this information for internal editorial and search-performance analysis, including evaluating article discovery, freshness and query hypotheses, identifying how readers find published pages, and improving future research and publishing decisions.

The Search Console connection is read-only. ThePulseSignal does not use this OAuth access to modify Search Console settings, submit content on a user’s behalf, change Google account information, or alter Search Console data.

Relevant Search Console performance data and derived editorial-learning records may be stored securely within ThePulseSignal’s internal systems for historical analysis and improvement of the publication’s editorial workflow. Access is limited to authorized administrative use.

ThePulseSignal does not sell Google user data. Google user data obtained through this connection is not used for advertising profiles and is not shared with third parties except where necessary to operate secure infrastructure, comply with applicable law, or as otherwise disclosed in this Privacy Policy.

ThePulseSignal’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the applicable Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email or related security record.

We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the website, including hosting, content management, email delivery, form processing, security, spam detection, analytics, backups, storage, and technical support providers.

These providers may process information only as necessary to perform their services, subject to their own contractual and privacy obligations.

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful authority requests, investigate fraud or abuse, protect safety or systems, establish or defend legal claims, or support a business transfer or reorganization.

We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, where commenting is enabled, the comment and its metadata may be retained indefinitely. This allows us to recognize follow-up comments, preserve public discussion, manage moderation, and detect repeated spam or abuse.

For users who register on our website, if registration is enabled, we may store the personal information supplied in their user profile while the account remains active. Users may be able to view, edit, or delete certain profile information at any time, except that usernames and records required for security, administration, dispute resolution, abuse prevention, or legal compliance may not be removable through the account interface. Website administrators may also access and edit account information where reasonably necessary.

Newsletter consent records, contact messages, correction requests, privacy requests, legal communications, security logs, and diagnostic information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for operational, editorial, security, recordkeeping, and legal purposes.

Information may remain temporarily in secure backups after deletion from active systems.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request confirmation of whether we process your personal information, access to information held about you, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of certain information, withdrawal of consent, restriction of certain processing, or a portable copy of information you provided.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you may request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including information you provided. You may also request that we erase personal data we hold about you.

These rights are not absolute. They do not require deletion of information that must be retained for administrative, legal, security, fraud-prevention, journalistic, public-interest, recordkeeping, or freedom-of-expression purposes.

We may request reasonable information to verify your identity and prevent unauthorized access, alteration, or deletion.

Editorial and Journalistic Information

ThePulseSignal is an editorial publication. Information processed for journalism, reporting, public-interest research, source protection, editorial records, or freedom of expression may be subject to legal exemptions or special protections.

A request to remove personal information does not automatically require removal of accurate, lawfully published editorial content. Requests concerning published articles may also be reviewed under our Corrections Policy.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments and form submissions may be checked through automated spam, fraud, or security-detection services.

Some hosting, security, email, analytics, embedded-content, or technical providers may process information in countries other than the country in which you are located. Where applicable, we aim to use providers and safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and relevant legal requirements.

Children’s Privacy

The website is intended for a general audience and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Where we become aware that personal information has been submitted by a child without appropriate authorization, we may take reasonable steps to review and remove it where required.

Information Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no website, email system, database, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You should avoid sending highly sensitive information through ordinary email or public-facing forms.

To help us process a request, include your name, the nature of the request, the relevant page, account, comment, or communication, and enough information to identify the affected record. Do not send identity documents unless we specifically request them through an appropriate secure process.
