Haryana SIR 2026: which form should you use?

Name missing: use Form 6 for inclusion. Existing details wrong or residence shifted: use Form 8. Objection to an entry or request for deletion: use Form 7. If you do not have an old SIR electoral-roll reference, that absence alone does not automatically decide your eligibility; follow the current declaration and supporting-document route prescribed by the election authority.

Who should act?

Your name is missing from the electoral roll

Use Form 6 for inclusion. The application remains subject to verification by the competent election authority.

Your existing entry has an error or you shifted residence

Use Form 8. CEO Haryana describes Form 8 as covering shifting of residence, correction of entries, replacement of EPIC and marking as a person with disability where applicable.

You want to object to an entry or seek deletion

Use Form 7. Do not use Form 7 merely because your own details need correction; that is a different reader state from correcting your own electoral-roll entry.

Your old SIR voter record is unavailable

Do not assume that this alone means your name must be deleted. Haryana's September 3 clarification says an eligible voter's name cannot be removed merely because old voter records and related documents are unavailable. Follow the declaration and supporting-document route applicable to your case.

How to verify that your Haryana voter-list request was completed

Keep the acknowledgement or reference generated for your submission where available. After processing, check the official electoral-roll status again and review any communication from the election authority. If the requested change does not appear or the authority seeks more information, contact the relevant BLO, ERO or AERO rather than assuming that submission alone completed the change.

Under the current revised schedule, claims and objections are to be disposed of through October 28, 2026. The final electoral roll is currently scheduled for publication on November 6, 2026.

If you are unsure which form applies, cannot determine what supporting material is required, or need help with a pending claim, Haryana's election administration identifies BLOs, EROs and AEROs as assistance points. Voters can also use the voter helpline number 1950.

Haryana SIR 2026 claims and objections can currently be filed through September 30, 2026. If your name is missing from the electoral roll, the Haryana Chief Electoral Officer says the inclusion route is Form 6. If an existing entry needs correction or you have shifted residence, Form 8 is the relevant route. Form 7 is used for objections to proposed inclusion or requests for deletion.

Haryana election authorities have also scheduled special campaign days on September 12, 13, 26 and 27. On those dates, BLOs are to remain available at polling stations from 9 AM to 5 PM to receive claims and objections and assist voters with electoral-roll issues.

A September 3 clarification from the Haryana election administration addresses a separate concern: an otherwise eligible voter should not be treated as deletable merely because old electoral-roll records are unavailable. Where earlier SIR details cannot be produced, the applicant still has to follow the applicable declaration and supporting-document process. Filing a form starts the claim or correction process; it does not itself guarantee inclusion or approval.

Decision path for Form 6, Form 7 and Form 8 during Haryana SIR 2026
Use the voter-list problem to select Form 6, Form 7 or Form 8, then complete the process before the current September 30 deadline.

Can you file during the September special campaign days?

Yes. Haryana authorities have designated September 12–13 and September 26–27 as special campaign days for receiving electoral-roll claims and objections.

Official Haryana releases say BLOs should be present at their respective polling stations from 9 AM to 5 PM on these dates. Voters can use these days to approach the relevant polling station for help with inclusion, correction or objection filings before the September 30 cutoff.

The special campaign days do not replace the September 30 deadline. They provide additional in-person opportunities within the existing claims-and-objections window.

Use the problem with your voter entry to choose the route

What does the September 3 old-record clarification mean?

The clarification addresses concern among voters who could not locate an earlier electoral-roll entry or the documents linked to it. The important distinction is that absence of an old record is not the same as a final decision that a voter is ineligible.

The election authority can still require the applicant to provide the declaration and supporting documents applicable under the current SIR rules. TPS did not recover the complete current birth-year document matrix in a form reliable enough to reproduce as a full checklist, so this article does not manufacture one.

Before filing, check the current official instructions for your case or confirm the required documents with your BLO, ERO or AERO.

Does filing Form 6 guarantee that your name will be added?

No. Filing Form 6 creates an inclusion claim; it is not automatic approval. Election Commission guidance provides for verification and a decision by the competent electoral-registration authority. The same principle applies to correction and objection workflows: submission and final acceptance are separate states.

Where can Haryana voters get help?

On September 12, 13, 26 and 27, voters can also approach their polling station during the announced 9 AM to 5 PM special campaign window, subject to the applicable local polling-station arrangements.

You can also review the current voter-registration forms on the CEO Haryana voter-registration forms page.

What happens after the September 30 deadline?

Those dates are the current official schedule, not a guarantee that no further revision will occur. TPS found no confirmed additional extension beyond September 30 in the reviewed evidence.

What Haryana voters should do before September 30

  1. Check whether your name and details are present correctly in the current electoral roll.
  2. If your name is missing, use Form 6.
  3. If your existing entry needs correction or you shifted residence, use Form 8.
  4. If you need to object to an entry or seek deletion, use Form 7.
  5. If your previous SIR record is unavailable, follow the current declaration and supporting-document route instead of assuming automatic deletion.
  6. If in-person help is useful, use the September 12–13 or September 26–27 special campaign days when BLOs are scheduled at polling stations from 9 AM to 5 PM.
  7. Submit the appropriate claim, correction or objection before the current September 30 deadline.
  8. Keep evidence of submission and recheck the electoral-roll status after processing.
  9. Use BLO, ERO, AERO or 1950 if the required route or documents are unclear.

What remains unresolved?

  • The direct Election Commission order number underlying the August 29 revised Haryana schedule was not recovered during this research.
  • TPS did not recover the complete current birth-year supporting-document matrix in a form reliable enough to reproduce without risk of omission.
  • TPS cannot determine whether an individual applicant is eligible or whether a specific claim will be accepted.
  • No further deadline extension beyond September 30 is confirmed in the reviewed evidence.
  • The October 28 and November 6 milestones can change if the competent election authority issues a later revision.
